Junior Engineers was established in 2013 to meet the needs of a changing education industry and provide Australian children with access to quality technology education in today’s digital world where coding is becoming a fundamental skill alongside maths and reading.
Recognising that learning to code at an early age helps develop useful life skills while setting primary and high school students up for success in future careers in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) related industries, Junior Engineers was one of the first companies to offer programs in digital technologies education for children across Australia.
Partnering with industry experts with over 25 years of experience in STEM education, teaching computer programming in schools, universities, and the defence forces, our proprietary syllabus has been designed to equip school aged children with the understanding, knowledge and skills required in an ever-changing digital world.
Junior Engineers is also Australia’s exclusive provider of the world leading, online coding platform called CodeMonkey which teaches kids a real programming language through gamification, where no prior experience in coding is required.
Throughout a student’s journey with Junior Engineers, they will be able to imagine, create and develop – bringing to life robotic projects, video games, websites, wearable technology, and other wonderful digital creations their young minds come up with.
Junior Engineers has grown from strength to strength since its founding and now delivers over 100 classes per week and over 55 workshops during the school holidays at over 100 schools and corporate organisations across QLD, VIC and NSW via a network of qualified and engaging instructors.
WHAT IS CODING
The digital world is a dynamic, ever-evolving industry largely dictated by the coding that sits behind the programming of these new technologies and innovations.
Coding is basically a list of step-by-step instructions that get computers to do what you want them to do, making it possible for us to develop computer software, games, apps and websites.
When children learn to code, it helps them develop essential skills such as problem solving and logic as well as analytical and critical thinking. Through coding, children learn that there are often multiple ways to solve a problem, and that simpler, more efficient solutions are often better.
Learning to code drives innovation, by allowing children to be creative in their thinking and problem solving while also empowering children through the unique skills they are able to learn and apply to various projects.
Learning to code is similar to learning a second language. The earlier that children are exposed to the basic fundamentals the more deeply and likely they are to absorb these concepts.
Coding also supports learning in other areas, like maths, reading, and science making it a great tool to further enhance your child’s at-school learning.

Junior Engineers’ programs cater to every child and their level of skills or experience. Our low, 1:9 instructor to student ratio enables us to tailor content to our students’ abilities during the workshops allowing us to challenge more experienced students, while at the same time, offering additional support to students who are just getting started. Junior Engineers also has multiple delivery options with face-to-face or online training available to best suit the needs of our kids and parents.
Flexible Delivery Options
Junior Engineers offers face-to-face and online coding programs enabling students to undertake our programs, regardless of their geographic location. Our programs are delivered during the school term, on weekends and during the school holidays giving our students and their parents the flexibility to choose a program that fits in with their schedules and other commitments.
