Junior Engineers has an extensive curriculum of over 30 cool coding and robotics courses which are scheduled throughout the year. Our classes page on this website shows everything currently scheduled, and provides handy filters for you to find the perfect course and location for your child. Our Programs pages also share an overview of the different types of programs we run, what children learn in the courses, and the benefits of these courses. We aim to cater the curriculum to the experience level of the students in each class. Our classes have indicative difficulty levels and age ranges indicated on each course, and our curriculum is structured to enable Instructors to provide more advanced activities to students who need extra extension programs.

We set age ranges for classes in order to ensure that children are grouped in similar age-ranges, maturity and cognitive abilities. It isn't possible to make exceptions to the age ranges in order to ensure that all students have a great time learning new skills as a group. 

Each class shows an indicative age range and difficulty level, to guide parents to select the most appropriate course for your child. We recommend text coding programs of Python, JavaScript and Roblox for older students. 

Our class sizes typically range from 10-15 students. We allocate additional instructors on a 1:9 teacher to student ratio, to ensure that all students receive indiviualised attention, regardless of the total number of students in a class 

Our classes have been designed by qualified teachers, and are developed to ensure that students learn the exciting world of digital technologies in an age-appropriate way. We schedule regular breaks where students can make new friends with their classmates, and interact socially.

You can provide all of this detail when you book your first class with Junior Engineers. In the checkout section, you'll be asked to nominate any medical or learning issues we need to be aware of for each child you enrol; and you'll also be asked to nominate who is collecting your child from their course. You can update this information at any time, by logging into the site and editing your details in the website. Alternatively, feel free to contact our team on 1300 089 344, or email [email protected] and we'll update your details for you.

If your child is unable to attend, kindly notify us at least 24 hours before the program, and will can provide you with a pro rata credit for future use. 
For term program, we accept enrolments until the 3rd week of the program, and we will charge a pro rata course fee in this instance. Contact our team on [email protected] or 1300 089 344 for more detail.

We believe all children should have the opportunity to learn digital technologies. Our instructors receive regular training and professional development and we endeavour to cater to all children with higher needs. We offer a range of different learning modes - online in groups, self-paced or private tutoring as well as our famous group school holiday and school term programs. We do encourage you to contact our team to discuss your child's specific needs so we can advise the best way forward for them to get involved in the wonderful world of Coding and Robotics. 

Junior Engineers does not provide catering at our courses. Please pack snacks and lunch for your child.

Of course! Please let our friendly Customer Service team know, so we can inform the instructor. 

Private tutoring lessons are available for most of our curriculum and can be booked in single lessons or packs of 5 or 10 classes. We will ask you to advise your preferred time for your chosen course during booking, matching our instructors with your preferred coding language and class times. 

Our 1:1 Private Tutoring program provides a tailored learning experience for students. To ensure you and your child get the most out of this unique learning experience, our Customer Service team will contact you via email with some additional questions, including your child's coding experience, any specific projects or learning goals that you may have. We'll schedule your initial class, and check in to ensure 

Like learning a musical instrument, students in private tutoring typically book in each term at a consistent time and date for their private lessons. We'll schedule all of the lessons via calendar links, and invite you to renew your package at the end of the lesson package bookings. If you would like to automatically renew for subsequent terms, please contact our Customer Service team to set this up.

Please contact our Customer Service team with as much notice as possible and we will schedule a make-up class. 

Each session is scheduled as an online learning session for a duration of 1 hour. We do not offer in-person tutoring. 

Our Codeflix self-paced learning platform provides over 100 engaging pre-recorded video tutorials. Students learn coding in step-by-step tutorials delivered by our amazing Junior Engineers Instructors.  

Codeflix is a subscription product, which will automatically renew via credit card on your subscription anniversary date. 

There are no minimum terms or contracts for Codeflix - you can cancel your subscription at any time, with the click of a button, by logging into your customer account on this website.  When you cancel your subscription, your Codeflix course access will remain active until the end of the current subscription period.  

The Codeflix platform is optimised for Chrome as your browser, although it will work on most common browsers. Depending on the courses you may choose to do in Codeflix there are different free and pair programming tools which you may need to purchase licenses for. 

There are no licenses required for Scratch or JavaScript as these courses are able to be coded inside the Codeflix platform. 

Roblox and Python platforms are free to download and install. Any Python IDE can be used, however in our videos we use Thonny IDE.

Minecraft Education requires users to download the Minecraft Education version of Minecraft. You must have an educational email address to download this softwared (any email from an educational institution should be usable. A license to use Minecraft Education is also required - most educational instutions purchase these licenses, however if you are having issues, please contact us. 

Codeflix provides an amazing platform with six of the world's most popular coding languages and over 100 engaging videos to complete. We're confident you'll love using the platform to expand your coding knowledge and proficiency. The free trial allows you to explore the platform and trial it before committing to your subscription. If you enjoy the courses, your credit card will be automatically billed on day 8 for whichever subscription package you have signed up to. If you decide to cancel, simply login to your account, and cancel before the trial period ends. 

Course content depends on the topic. Our videos range from 5 minutes to 45 minutes in length. As a self-paced course, the video tutorials are designed to allow students to pause once a concept is explained, code, design and test their work. Each course will take anywhere from 15 to 90 minutes to complete. 

Because Codeflix is built to display each student's progress and achievements on completion of each course, each child needs their own subscription. 

All courses and subscriptions booked through this website are visible in the "My account" tab. Simply login using your email address and password, and you will be able to view your purchase history, and update your contact, medial and duty of care information. 

Use the password reset function in the login tab to reset your password. If you're having difficulties, please contact our friendly Customer Service team to provide further assistance.

Yes! You can now book for all children in a single transaction via our website. We're also working to provide more notice of upcoming programs, to enable you to plan your child's extra curricular activities, whether online, in-person or self-paced, well in advance. 

Simply add your chosen products to the shopping cart, allocate your children to the relevant course for their age and ability, apply your sibling discount code in the checkout, and enjoy the convenience pf planning your child's coding adventures for the year ahead.

We provide customers the convenience of instalment payments via Zippay at this stage.

Yes! Junior Engineers is a registered provider for the NSW Government's Creative Kids initiative. Please note that from 1 July 2023, voucher values were reduced to $50. The Creative Kids vouchers are able to be used on any Junior Engineers courses taught by live instructors. These include our School Term, School Holidays, Online Group and Online 1:1 Private Tutoring programs. 

To redeem your voucher, you must first apply for your voucher through My Service NSW; then register your child into your chosen class; then request your rebate using this form. 

Please note that CodeMonkey and Codeflix programs aremy.service.nsw.gov.au not eligible for Creative Kids rebates.

Don't panic! If your preferred course is sold out, you can request to be placed on the waiting list for that class. In the event that another participant is unable to attend, we will contact waiting list registrants to offer this place. We can also suggest alternative classes for your child to attend if their preferred course is not available this intake.

A "Bring the kids to work" day with a difference, Junior Engineers runs coding workshops in Corporate offices around Australia during every school holidays. We take the stress out of school holidays for working parents by delivering full 1,2, or 3 day workshops that kids and parents alike rave over.  

You simply supply a room with projector screens and wifi, and Junior Engineers does the rest! Our Partnerships team will help you work out the right program for your workplace with a simple call. We'll then schedule the program, book our instructors, and supply all teaching resources for an engaging, hands-on digital technologies program.

Our Corporate Program is really flexible. We can deliver programs that are fully staff-funded; or if you are using the program to provide staff engagement and retention benefits, you can choose to partially or fully fund the program for your workforce. We can also deliver across Australia, so if you have multiple offices, we can provide the same benefits to all team members. 

Some curriculum require particular software to be downloaded to student devices, and we will discuss these needs when we book your program in. One of the main requirements we will need to discuss is whether students will be provided access to office WiFi, or whether Junior Engineers needs to supply our own wifi access inside your office. We sometimes encounter challenges downloading software when using office Wifi, due to security restrictions of your internal networks. Rest assured, we've never encountered a wifi challenge we can't solve, so please discuss your preferred approach with us when you book. 

All of the Junior Engineers curriculum can be delivered in a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) environment. We typically find that students will supply their own computers, and workplaces simply provide access to their networks (usually accessing the guest network) for students to access the internet. 

Instructors will bring their own computers with course curriculum pre-loaded, you will simply need to provide a large TV screen or projector in the class room for Instructors to use to teach the class. 

Junior Engineers will provide a range of marketing material for you to use on your internal communications channels to promote the program to your workforce. If you have specific intermal communications requirements, please chat with our partnerships team, so we can facilitate this for you.  You can choose whether to take enrolments internally, or have Junior Engineers manage this on your behalf. 

We're only limited by your space and your imagination! We will supply the right number of instructors for each class scheduled to ensure your students are well supported during their school holiday corporate workshop.

Our programs run more effectively when we’re in a learning space with the right infrastructure. We typically use classrooms or computer labs, but any room that has tables and chairs, a projector and reliable wifi will work! Wifi is critical for students to access our STEM education programs. 

It depends! All students will need a device so that they can enjoy the hands-on learning programs that Junior Engineers is famous for. We can deliver in on-site computer labs, OR on student’s own devices. If your students’ don’t have equipment, ask us about hiring devices (additional costs apply).

Junior Engineers program costs include any required software licenses that students will need for our programs.

Yes! Junior Engineers has comprehensive insurance policies to cover our placements at your school.

Yes! All Junior Engineers instructors have the requisite state-based checks to teach in schools

Junior Engineers has developed a proprietary curriculum of over 30 different courses that are available to primary and secondary schools to select from. This ranges from Cyber Security training, to engaging coding and robotics courses, through to creative workshops like Stop Motion and App Prototyping.  All Junior Engineers curriculum has been designed to support the delivery of the Digital Technologies curriculum in schools.
